Black Statement on Administration’s Delay of Consumer Cost Protections in Obamacare

Aug 13, 2013 Issues: Health

Washington – Today, Congressman Diane Black (R-TN-06) issued the following statement on the news of the President’s decision to delay consumer cost protections in Obamacare:

“The President’s decision to delay consumer cost protections in Obamacare is just the latest in a series of delays, rules, and revisions that protect special interests at the expense of the American people. Millions of Americans across the country are hurting because of this law. Their insurance premiums are sky rocketing, their doctors and hospitals are closing their doors, and their job prospects are dwindling because of this reckless legislation. Now their assurance from the President that their out of pocket costs for health care will be limited has been abandoned. We are less than 50 days out from full implementation and it seems like each day we learn about another one of Obamacare’s shortcomings. What will it take for the President to admit that this law is failing and needs to be stopped?”
