Rep. Black Statement on President Trump Withdrawing from Iran Deal
Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Diane Black (R-TN-06) released the following statement in response to President Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Iran Nuclear Deal:
"The Iran Deal has been a dangerous agreement since day one. President Obama cut a deal with the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism – a deal that should never have been made. President Obama's giveaway to Iran jeopardized the safety and security of our citizens. I am pleased to see that President Trump is committed to deterring Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons and is putting America first. He said he would do it, and once again he is fulfilling his promises to the American people." said Congressman Black.
Congressman Diane Black represents Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District. A nurse for more than 40 years, she serves as a member of the House Budget Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.
